We are thrilled to welcome Mirren to the barn! She’s an aspiring hunter-jumper who’s making the exciting switch to barrel racing and pole bending. Watching her learn, grow, and find her stride in western performance has been a joy.
A huge congratulations to all our riders competing in the fall rodeo circuits with IJRA and CILBRA. The season is off to an incredible start:
Bonnie earned her 6th qualifying run with an 18.254 in barrels, officially punching her ticket to the 2026 Little Britches Finals in the Little Wrangler division!
Ella ran her personal best of 15.376 in barrels, placing 4th on Sunday, and now sits at 4 of her 6 qualifying runs in Senior Girls.
Loretta had a huge breakthrough with her first full barrel run under the time limit, clocking 35.875 on Sunday—a milestone we’re all proud of.
Brooklyn shined in poles on Sunday, running a 31.009 for 9th place.
Mirren ran a 19.004 in barrels, finishing 15th on Sunday, and is already showing great promise as she transitions into rodeo competition.
Our outdoor arena has been priceless this season—more room to ride, more air to breathe, and so many lessons made possible. But after our first rain in months, it flooded last weekend, so we’re back indoors until it dries up!
We’ve also had some exciting new additions around the barn:
A neighborhood visitor has fallen in love with Maverick, our rescue thoroughbred. Ella has been putting in the time to bring out his movement, and soon she and Mirren will spend more time with him in the jump pen to see what he’s made of.
We welcomed Blue, Loretta’s new rescue horse, who came to us needing groceries and love—and she’s gotten plenty of both.
We also welcomed Hannah, our barn helper, who has been a lifesaver keeping up with stalls and day-to-day chores. Life is busy, and she’s been such a blessing.
We’ve even welcomed new students like L, who joined us in September, and we’re proud cheerleaders for barn family friend A, who’s been tearing it up in High School Breakaway and Team Roping.
It’s been a whirlwind start to the season, and we couldn’t be prouder of our barn and rodeo families. We’re growing, we’re learning, and we’re always looking for ways to give our kids the very best opportunities.
👉 We need more good horses for our students to ride, learn on, and succeed with. If you’d like to support our barn family—through donations, sponsorships, or helping connect us with suitable horses—please reach out. Every bit helps us continue to build confidence, skills, and memories that will last a lifetime.
We’re also excited to announce that we’ve launched our Dale Rosa Equine merch store! All proceeds go right back into supporting our students, horses, and the program. Check it out here: Dale Rosa Equine Store. 10% of profits go to the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund to help injured cowboys and their families.
Here’s to the rest of fall—strong runs, new goals, and lots of memories ahead!
