We’re celebrating a major accomplishment for Dale Rosa Equine student Ella Gerdes and her horse Popcorn Sutton, who are making waves in the Let’s Get Ranchy Online Horse Show series — proving that dedication, connection, and great horsemanship pay off.
🌟 About Let’s Get Ranchy
The Let’s Get Ranchy Online Horse Show is a nationwide virtual competition where riders submit unedited videos to be professionally judged. No travel, no stress — just good, solid riding from wherever you call home.
Each show brings together competitors from across the country, with over 125 exhibitors in the March show alone. It’s a unique opportunity to grow, compete, and gain feedback in a fun and supportive format.
🥶 Winter Warmup Show (February 2025)
Ella and Popcorn came out swinging — earning Youth Walk/Trot Champion and placing across both Green Rider and Youth divisions:
Green Rider WT Ranch Riding – 5th
Green Rider WT Ranch Pleasure – Tied for 3rd
Green Rider WT Ranch Confirmation – Tied for 2nd
Youth WT Ranch Riding – 2nd
Youth WT Ranch Pleasure – 1st 🥇

Talk about a strong season opener! 👏
🌼 Spring Buckle Series Show #1 (March 2025)
The momentum didn’t stop there. Against another big field, Ella showed consistency and heart:
Green Rider WT Ranch Riding – Tied for 11th
Green Rider WT Ranch Pleasure – 10th
Green Rider WT Ranch Confirmation – Tied for 16th
Youth WT Ranch Riding – 5th
Youth WT Ranch Pleasure – 5th
Youth WT Ranch Confirmation – 6th
To earn Top 5 finishes in all Youth classes two months in a row is no small feat — especially with new riders joining every show. Ella’s composure, technique, and bond with Popcorn stood out again and again.
🐴 What This Means
Ella is growing into a confident, independent horsewoman — and it shows. Her progress over two shows, with back-to-back top finishes and a Youth Champion title under her belt, reflects the strength of her training and her commitment in the saddle.
These results are more than ribbons. They’re milestones.
