Recovery Support for Champions, One Run at a Time
Fort Worth, TX – March 2025 — Held at the legendary Will Rogers Memorial Center, The Patriot is the largest combined equine event in the world—bringing together the best of the best in barrel racing, team roping, breakaway roping, and more. With over $3 million in payouts and entries from across the country, The Patriot is where dreams are made and legends are born.
This year, Cold Steel Performance brought targeted recovery services to the front lines of competition. Owner Whitney Widick teamed up with Kari Harris of K/H Spa & Wellness to support the horsepower behind the headlines—providing professional-grade cryotherapy and fascia-focused muscle work right from the barn aisle.
Cryotherapy + IASTM: A Game-Changing Duo
Throughout the week, Whitney and Kari delivered targeted cryotherapy and Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) to horses working in high-stakes conditions.
Their sessions supported:

Overall athletic optimization

A Champion in the Lineup
One of the weekend’s biggest moments? Whitney had the honor of working on the 1D Champion horse from the Young Guns race, piloted by the incredibly talented Rinley Rawlins.
Rinley’s comeback story and winning run were unforgettable:
“The barrel racers brought it this year,” said Widick. “These horses were running hard and giving everything they had. It was an honor to support them with the recovery and muscle work they needed to stay competitive all weekend long.”
